Description

The EK-TO2-TP card reader allows cards to be read simply by bringing them close to the device, up to a maximum distance of 20 mm, enabling access based on the configured authorisations. Equipped with a backlit display and an integrated KNX bus communication module, the device combines reliable performance with a refined design. It is powered by SELV voltage via KNX bus and requires an auxiliary power supply of 12–24 Vac or 12–32 Vdc. Available in white or black, it is compatible with the Form, Flank, 'NF, Deep and Surface versions with a 60 mm window, for perfect aesthetic integration into any environment.

Delivery

The delivery includes a terminal for connection to the bus line, a plastic bracket for mounting on rectangular boxes (hole centre distance 60 mm) and two pairs of screws.

Configurationa and commissioning

To configure the device parameters, the corresponding application programme or the entire ekinex® product database must be loaded into the ETS® programme.

For detailed information on configuration options, refer to the device application manual.

Note. The physical address programming and automation functions are carried out using the ETS software. To implement the specific access control functions for the reader and pocket and to programme the cards, you must use the ekinex® accédo software.

The following steps are required to commission the device:

  • make the electrical connections as described above
  • supply voltage to the KNX bus
  • activate the 12/24 Vac/dc auxiliary power supply
  • switch the device to programming mode by pressing the button on the left side of the device (when viewed from the front). In this operating mode, the programming LED is lit
  • download the physical address and configuration to the device using the ETS® programme

Note. Unlike other KNX devices, programming with ETS is only possible if both the bus power supply and the 12/24 Vac/dc auxiliary power supply are provided
