Faqra Club, Lebanon

Application context

A few kilometers from Beirut, in the heart of the mountain belt of Mount Lebanon that extends throughout the country, lies the Faqra Club, an exclusive holiday resort  equipped with all amenities. Private ski slopes, tennis and basketball courts, horse riding and swimming pool are just some of the activities offered to guests in a landscape immersed in the nature and quietness of the mountains.

Designed by architect Walid Zeidan and Bernard Mallat in Beirut, two unique and sophisticated twin villas have been built: large windows blend with the structural elements, stairs and terraces, enhanced in their regular shapes and suspended in space as if to extend towards the horizon.

Customer requests

Comfort and attention to detail are among the primary needs of the guests of this luxurious club. In particular, the two villas were equipped with the best home automation technologies to allow the control of lighting, curtains and shutters, the management of thermostats for heating and cooling and the use of sound system.

Ekinex solutions

The system, completely based on the KNX standard, carries out the control and management of the following functions in the house:

• dimmable lighting
• heating system
• air-conditioning
• monitoring of parameters
• scenario management

The ekinex wall devices - elegant FF/'NF pushbuttons and Touch&See FF Form (EK-EF2-TP) panels - were chosen in carbon metal finishes.
