FAQ - KNX Power Supply
What is a power supply and what is it for?
Ekinex AB1 and AG1 KNX power supplies provide the network voltage (SELV) to all KNX components. Electrical supply and communication between KNX devices is provided thanks to the inductive supply output voltage. For further information click here.
Can I have an auxiliary output to supply my devices, if needed?
Yes, thanks to the Ekinex AG1 power supply, a KNX device which provides and monitor the 30 Vdc voltage that the bus system needs to work as well as an auxiliary 30 Vdc output that can be used as an auxiliary power supply for other devices powered by SELV. The total current absorbed by the 2 outputs (KNX busand auxiliary) cannot exceed 640 mA.
